Yes, ThriftCon is happening in Denver! Here are the answers to your questions about how it's going down:
Footprint and Attendance - Our event footprint has increased 3x, and our capacity is 1/3 the amount of attendees from last year. Vendors will be distanced from each other allowing for easy distinction of booths and a more safe and comfortable shopping experience. Tickets will sell out, so if you're itching to dig, get yours now!
350 Person Entry Cap - To follow city, state and federal guidelines, only 350 guests will be allowed to shop at a time. Every hour 175 guests will be asked to leave and 175 more will be allowed in. Guests will be provided a colored wristband to signify what shopping slot they belong to. Keep in mind, there is no limit to how many time slots you can purchase. If you want to shop all day, you have to purchase the appropriate tickets.
One Way Shopping Path - Just like at the grocery store, but this time you actually have to stay on the path. The shopping path will take you through every booth starting at the entrance and leading to the exit. If you make it through the shopping path before your time slot is complete, circle back and start at the beginning to tie the knot on any deals before time is up.
RIP Trading Pit - The Trading Pit is a ThriftCon staple, but at this time we are unable to maintain a trading pit the way we have done in the past. This is a temporary measure, The Pit will return bigger and better than ever.
Hygiene and Safety
Masks Are Required - This should be obvious, but let us be clear... IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A MASK, YOU DO NOT GET TO SHOP. This is for your safety and the safety of those around you.
Mandatory Temperature Check - Every guest will be quickly screened for signs of a fever to add an extra layer of safety for shoppers and vendors. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell or showing any symptoms of COVID-19. We will be back soon, so stay home and get well.
Hand Washing and Sanitizing - Hand washing and sanitizing stations will be clearly marked and placed in convenient locations throughout the venue. Please use these stations frequently!
Avoid Cash Payments - Cash is king, but it's also a little dirty. All vendors are equipped with contact-less payment applications so don't be afraid to ask. Whichever platform you are most comfortable with, your favorite vendor will likely accept.
If you are uncomfortable in any way with these restrictions, we will not take it personally; stay home and hang tight until the next event. Thank you so much for your continued support, we can't wait to see everyone again.
